Diagnosis: Traumatic Brain Injuries due to Shaken Baby Syndrome
Services: Physical and Occupational Therapy
After Jackson was abused by his father at 5 months of age, his foster parents (now adoptive parents) were able to bring him into their home with the help of full-time nursing care.
Jackson developed a traumatic brain injury from the result of Shaken Baby Syndrome. He is blind in his left eye, cortically blind in his right eye and he’s hemiplegic on his right side. Despite his limitations, Jackson is an active boy; he kicks and moves around most of the day on his left side and he is able to roll from front to back and back to front. Jackson is happy at home with his parents and new brother.
