Braden was admitted in November, 2010. Now, as a young boy, Braden is able to ambulate a short distance dependently or with the use of a reverse kaye walker or crutches. Otherwise, he uses an electric wheelchair.
Although Braden does not have the full capabilities of walking; he socializes and has the intellectual ability of a boy his age. He goes to school every day with his twin brother and other sibling.
We were originally told that he wasn't going to survive. They said best-case scenario, he lives a week, maybe a couple of months, but he would never leave the hospital.
